I started designing posters back when I was a middleweight boxer on my university's amateur team. I was in charge of marketing the shows and did so by designing and printing 2-colour silkscreen posters. A continued interest in the sport has helped the brand go from strength to strength, steadily picking up recognition along the way.
My recent work includes posters commissioned by world renowned Matchroom Boxing and Sauerland Promotions for pay-per-view TV shows across the world. These include artwork for Olympic gold medallist and World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, Sheffield's Kell Brook and no.1 ranked pound-for-pound boxer Gennady Golovkin and Wladimir Klitschko. The designs have appeared across national TV and press including the BBC and Sky Sports.
I work closely with promoters throughout the whole design process. This can begin with arranging suitable photography and discussing ideas for a visual direction. I always aim to create unique designs that are original, entertaining, beautiful and adaptable. There are often short time frames involved and limited imagery resources from time to time so the approach to a project needs to vary to suit that. I've never created a 'template' to use at the ready, each poster is created from scratch.

Preceding this fight, I'd made artwork for Anthony's title defence against American Dominic Breazeale at the sold-out O2 some of which was displayed at a public-weighin event at Covent Garden. I also designed confetti design for his previous fight against Charles Martin which were released onto the crowd of 20,000 when he was crowned the champion.
